Little Lambs

This is a nursery program for children ages 0-4 years old. We believe that a child's future is fashioned in the early years. Therefore, this is a ministry rather than mere babysitting. Each service offers the teachers an opportunity to invest in the spiritual lives of your children.

People were bringing little children to Jesus in order that He might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Let the little children come to me and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall not enter it." And Jesus took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10:13-16

This scripture has significant implications for children and our ministry with children. It is obvious that Christ invites children into the Kingdom of God as equal inherits. It emphasizes the importance of a children's ministry based on several sound principals, some of which include:

1. Jesus affirms the value of children and their importance in the kingdom.

2. Children must be included in the larger ministry of the entire church.

3. The purpose of children's ministry is personal spiritual formation and the building of a relationship with Jesus early in life.

Our Mission & Goals:

It is the desire of Little Lambs Nursery to lay a spiritual foundation in the lives of our children by providing a loving and safe environment for the youngest members of our church. Our goal is to reach young kids and help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, causing a "rippling effect" from generation to generation. This begins in the Nursery and continues all the way through the Turn Tide Youth Ministry.

On a personal note...

Hello! My name is Valerie Williamson and I am the Nursery Coordinator here at Word of God Church. God gave me a heart for children, and I feel very blessed to be entrusted with the planning and preparation of our nursery lessons and activities. The nursery workers (including myself) are committed to the mission of being used by God to help our children "grow up in all things" and become true Christ followers. Children are wonderful creations! Being in the education field, I am amazed everyday by their honesty, loyalty, and faith. They are a true example of what adults would love to be like, but lost as we grew up. Children truly are made in the image of God. Therefore, we believe all aspects of childhood need to be celebrated in a supportive, Christ-centered environment.

Our nursery is a fun and safe place...but most importantly, it is a place where every child is loved and taught about Jesus. They can grow in their relationships and learn to love and honor God. Our desire is to make every child feel loved and every family feel welcomed so that you can confidently call Word Of God Church your church home. We see the nursery as a true ministry to families of infants, toddlers and preschoolers and we take our ministry very seriously! In order to ensure that your child has a safe, happy and spiritually educational time, we have a routine that creates a well-rounded learning experience. Some of the components of our routine are: bible-lesson time, crafts and/or coloring time, bible-song time, free play, prayer time and snack time. All lessons, songs and activities are age-appropriate.

K.I.D.S. Church

Welcome

Hi! My name is Beverly Pritchard and it is my privilege to serve as a leader to children at Word of God Church. If you've got kids, I want to assure you that they will be in the best of hands spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Kids are a priority at Word of God Church. " .... Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19: 14

Purpose

To train children to become an active part of the church body. In Kids In Divine Service, children will experience the love of Christ, grow in a stronger personal faith in God, and actively minister to those around them with a heart of service.

Happenings

Kids will enter into a time of Praise and Worship to prepare their hearts for service. They will hear relevant messages from the Bible on their level with puppets, object lessons, skits, and crazy wacky games. Children at every age will have a blast.

When

Kids In Divine Service is for children ages 5-11 and meets every Sunday morning from 10:30 - 12:00 with the exception of the first Sunday of the month. The first Sunday of month we believe it is important that children be with their families to share and experience communion.

Growth

Heads Up! We are right now in the process of putting together an incredible team of children leaders, and God has given me an opportunity to head up this team. I can't wait to see what God is going to do.

Spirit Led Kids

What is Spirit Led Kids??

Spirit Led Kids is an exciting children's program that meets on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. and reaches out to children ages 5-11. It is an extension of K.I.D.S. Church that is training kids to live a Spirit filled life and walk victoriously in Jesus Christ.

Who Are Spirit Led Kids??

Children who know that God loves them no matter what…Kids who know that there is a creator who purposely made them and has in his heart so many wonderful thoughts and plans for them that they could never count them all ! (Ps. 139:17-18, Jer. 29:11)

Our Mission…
Our vision is to see kids grow up strong in the knowledge of who God is. Secure in knowing that God loved them enough to send his son, and that Jesus’ blood was enough to pay for their freedom from sin and the dominion of the enemy. Ephesians 6:10-17 talks about the equipment that God has given his children to keep them safe in this world, to empower them, and to help them live a victorious life. We are committed to help them grow up in all the knowledge of these things and more. We love God’s word!!! AND want your kids to know it and love it also!! We provide Bible based teaching, incentives, and huge doses of good clean FUN !!

What do Spirit Led Kids Do??

They learn to STAND UP and STANDOUT!  They learn that life is filled with joy, laughter and promise!! They learn to face life head their hearts full of determination and hope.

See ya on Wednesday!!!

Turn Tide Youth

According to Romans 12:2 we are to be ..."transformed"

Welcome to Turn Tide Youth! This ministry is for young people ages 12-18 and meets on Wednesdays at 7:15 pm. In a day of situation ethics, these young
people are challenged to stand for something or they will fall for anything.

Jesus and His crew were on the shore, and Jesus told them to cross the lake and go to the other side. "Let's change", like the turning of the Tide, he had a specific direction. Across the lake they must go. What did they do? They got in the boat and shoved off, following the direction Jesus gave them. Halfway across the lake the waters began churning and the wind began to blow. Although Jesus had commanded the trip, his disciples immediately lost faith in His direction and began to dis Him. Now Jesus was in the front of the boat sleeping at peace with His direction, knowing that, no matter how many waves crashed across the bow of the fishing boat, they would make it. So Peter and the guys woke him up and asked, "DO YOU EVEN CARE IF WE ARE GOING TO BE FISH FOOD?"
What would your reaction have been? Churning waters surrounding you?  The wind howling in your ear?  Land nowhere in sight and your co-pilot asleep in the front of the boat?...Yeah, me too, I'd have awakened Jesus up and yelled at him, "Come on Man! Can't you see I need some help here?"
So Jesus wakes up and after a big sigh he says, "WINDS SHUT UP, SEA LAY FLAT!"

Instantly lives were changed, faith was strengthened. The HE, King of kings, Lord of lords, looks at US and asks us why we are so scared? If I can calm the sea for these Galilean fishermen, why can't I "Turn Tide" for YOU?
Mark 4:35-41

Why

Life can be summed up as “crazy at best” for most of us most of the time! Those three little words tend to be used more and more often in describing our seemingly feeble attempts to keep up with the demands of work, family, home life, and even our friends. Keeping our heads above the water seems to be about all we are able to do. In those times, we all need a little help. We need someone who can throw us a life preserver! We need someone who can teach us to swim instead of paddling in circles. We need support! People who will rejoice in our victories, grieve in our pain, and listen when we talk. Ladies of Excellence will provide you with that kind of support. We believe that strong friendships and Godly fellowship can provide the framework for positive Christian growth and the strength to live life freely and victoriously! So grab the rope and let us pull you in!

When

Ladies of Excellence meets the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 PM in the Anchor for a time of fellowship and Bible study. Refreshments and childcare are provided.

MALEcall

Hey Guys,

Thanks for checking out this portion of our web-site! My name is Steve Hale and I lead the men’s ministry group at Word of God Church. We are excited about what God is doing in the hearts of men in these last days. It is especially exciting to introduce you to one of the newest ministries of our church called MALEcall. If you are like me, you have probably read tons of stuff recently about how men fail to “pull their own weight” when it comes to the responsibility of fatherhood, being a good husband, and even in finding their rightful place in the body of Christ. Debating the accuracy of such claims seems to be a daunting task at best. We’ve decided to do something about that!

My wife is always reminding me that guys see things in black and white. So I don’t want to get to “touchy/feely” about all this. Somewhere between “I am man, hear me roar” and our “sensitive side” we’ve got to find a balance. A harmony of testosterone and estrogen if you will. Tough?...You bet! Impossible?...No way!!! That’s why we’re here.

For whatever reason, men tend to feel or be isolated. We use phrases like “alone on an island” or “I’m the only one” when we find ourselves engaged in a battle. Well to borrow a line from Radio Shack (one of men’s favorite stores, by the way)…”You’ve got questions?...God’s got answers”. You are not alone! Check us out! MALEcall meets on the second Sunday of each month at 8:30 AM. During that time we have breakfast, fellowship, and tackle some pretty tough issues. We talk about how life pertains to you, and more importantly, how God desires fellowship with each of us. But it’s more than that. It’s also about building relationships with other men. Men who can relate to what you might be going through and who can share your load, walk your walk, or just help to keep you sharp! Now the rest is up to you….join us at our next MALEcall and discover what a difference a Godly man can make!

Steve

Mission

Using Acts 1:8 as our example, our educational missions approach is to first begin reaching out to our own community, and then to our neighboring communities. Finally, we reach out to the world as we prayerfully and financially support our missionaries who carry the gospel of Christ to those who haven't heard and encouragement to the Christians awaiting Christ's imminent return.

We are called to be a light in the darkness. At Word of God Church we endeavor to do just that, not only in our own community, but abroad in the world through supporting foreign and domestic missionaries. Each month a missions collection is taken and 100% of those funds are sent to our missions: Tell My People (Mexico), Mahaneh-Dan Fellowship (India), Bill and Connie Anderson (America), and Cruzadores de la Fe en Mexico (Mexico).

Cruzadores de la Fe en Mexico

Crusaders of the Faith in Mexico are missions based ministry raising up disciples to spread the Gospel over all the world. Alumni of Cruzadores de la Fe are currently ministering in India, Central and South America with special invitations to Peru, Nicaraqua, El Salvador, Columbia, China and Europe. This ministry is led by Joe and Brenda Greagrey.

Mahaneh-Dan Fellowship

Mahaneh-Dan Fellowship is an indigenous missionary movement in India led by Reverend P.T Varghese. This ministry began in 1989 with a small Bible School and three small churches and began church planting in 1992. They have since spread across thirteen states in India and the Fellowship has 325 churches in southern, western, northern, central and south-eastern portions of the country. Two hundred twenty five missionaries currently work with this ministry.

Tell My People

Helen and Dale Lynch established Tell My People, Inc. in 1976 after Helen had an unusual encounter with Jesus Christ. God used Helen's ministry in foreign countries to proclaim the living Christ. With God's leading in 1988 they began TMP Leadership Training International in Harlingen, Texas, USA, to train Spanish speaking leaders for the great harvest fields.

The founders of Tell My People feel a deep calling to train Christian leaders for the great harvest field within Spanish speaking nations. "We believe the greatest mission challenge today is equipping the nationals for greater works. From these men and women, God is bringing fresh visionaries to see their tremendous potential in reaching nations for Christ."   www.tmpinc.org

BAMInternational

BAMInternational is the mission of Bill and Connie Anderson from Michigan, USA.   www.bamitnl.org
